01 — Who we are

The name is the promise.

Cradlebrook exists to do one thing well: hold responsibility for specialist nutrition products from the moment they leave their manufacturer to the moment they reach the settings they are intended for. Our mark says how.

Cradle

The arc that holds

Stewardship. We take legal and practical responsibility as food business operator — product integrity, storage discipline and due diligence, held to the standard our category demands.

Brook

The line that flows

Movement. Customs entry, border formalities and onward distribution that keep specialist products moving — cleared before they arrive, documented at every step.

Seed

The point of origin

Provenance. Every batch traceable to its source, every record kept and retrievable — because in specialist nutrition, the paperwork is part of the product.

02 — What we do

Importing is the easy part.
Everything around it is the job.

Foods for special medical purposes carry obligations most food imports never see. We built the company around those obligations, not despite them.

01

Import & customs

Importer of record for specialist nutrition consignments — we take title, carry the customs responsibility and manage the border end to end.

  • Tariff classification & customs entry
  • Port Health & border documentation
  • Duty, import VAT & landed-cost control
02

Regulatory stewardship

UK compliance for foods for special medical purposes, handled before first sale — not patched afterwards.

  • Composition & labelling review against UK law
  • Notification to the competent authority before placing on the market
  • Ongoing change control as regulations move
03

Quality management

A quality management system designed for evidential standards: if it happened, there is a record of it.

  • Supplier approval & batch documentation
  • Storage, handling & distribution controls
  • Traceability & recall readiness, tested before needed
04

Controlled distribution

Specialist products reach the settings they are intended for — healthcare and clinical channels — through supply arrangements built for accountability.

  • Healthcare & pharmacy supply channels
  • Product information for professionals, on request
  • No consumer advertising of restricted categories

03 — Standards

We work to the letter of UK food law.

This is the framework our systems are built around. We state it plainly, because our customers audit it.

Food Safety Act 1990
The foundation: food safety, due diligence and the record-keeping discipline that evidences both.
Regulation (EU) 2016/128, as assimilated in GB law
Composition, labelling and notification requirements for foods for special medical purposes, including those developed for infants.
Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 (FIC), as assimilated in GB law
Food information to consumers — labelling, allergen declaration and the information every product must carry.
Food Safety & Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013
Registration as a food business operator and HACCP-based controls across storage, handling and distribution.
Infant formula advertising & presentation rules
The restrictions governing how infant formula and infant FSMP may be presented and advertised — built into every public communication we make, including this website.

A commitment, plainly made: we claim nothing we cannot evidence. Where our systems are being established or assessed, we say so — to customers, to authorities and to auditors alike.

04 — Healthcare professionals

Product information, on request.

Information on the specialist products we import — composition, suitability and appropriate use — is provided to healthcare professionals: clinicians, dietitians, pharmacists and procurement teams working in clinical settings.

Requests are handled by our regulatory team, in writing, with scientific and factual information only.

Regulatory notice

The advertising of infant formula, and of foods for special medical purposes developed for infants, to the general public is restricted under UK law. This website therefore contains no product information or promotional material.

Information on products imported by Cradlebrook Nutrition Ltd is made available to healthcare professionals only, on written request. Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for infants; foods for special medical purposes for infants should be used only under appropriate professional guidance.
